Thank you to revenue that attended FOSC 2014 at The Royal Society of Medicine.

The 6th year of FOSC was a huge success with over 100 students and junior doctors hearing from eminent speakers and offered an insight into life as a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon.

Lectures

Highlights included Professor Tim Briggs, current BOA and RSM Orthopaedic Section President, providing the latest admission and selection news and information to help maximise the chance of being selected. Each sub-specialty was covered in detail by passionate consultants in their field and current registrars and trainees were on hand to offer tips and CV analysis.

Workshops

The afternoon workshops again proved popular with students and junior doctors getting their hands on DHS jawbone kits provided by Synths, Ex-Fix and Tibial Nails and JRI hemiarthroplasty kits.

Posters

Over 45 posters were displayed and the winner of the poster competition will be announced tomorrow, receiving the FOSC Poster Prize certificate for their portfolio.
